Data we process
We process the data needed for the reservation and the delivery: name, email, your phone number if you leave it, the shipping address where relevant, the contributions paid and the details of the gifts chosen. The email is used for the receipt, the confirmation and order updates; the phone number is optional and we use it for the confirmation and dispatch notice on WhatsApp, and to reach you if there's a problem with the delivery.
Names for personalisation
When you choose a personalised thank-you gift we also process the names entered for printing. We use them only to produce the requested gift and to handle any checks before dispatch.
Checking the names we print
The names you give us for personalisation go through an automated check — partly a filter of our own, partly a classification service run by OpenAI — and its only job is to catch offensive content. The check never blocks your donation and never decides on its own: when it flags something, a person reads the name before it goes to print.
Purpose and legal basis
We process your data to run the fundraiser, organise collection or shipping and confirm your reservation: the legal basis is the performance of the relationship your contribution creates (art. 6.1.b GDPR). For accounting records and for the reporting duties attached to the collection, the basis is our legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR). For checking the names to be printed it is our legitimate interest in not printing offensive content (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Who we share your data with
Only the suppliers we need to see the fundraiser through, and only for that: Stripe for the payment, the courier for delivery, the printer and the people who prepare the personalised items for the names to be printed, the service that sends our emails (Resend) and, if you leave us your number, WhatsApp (Meta) for the confirmation and the dispatch notice; and finally the provider that hosts the site and the database. We don't sell or pass your data on to anyone for marketing.
Transfers outside the European Union
Stripe and OpenAI are based in the United States, and WhatsApp messages go through Meta: when data passes through them, the transfer is made on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (art. 46 GDPR). The site, the database and the backups stay on servers within the European Union.
Retention
We keep data for the time needed to manage the fundraiser and for legal obligations related to reporting and accounting. If a reservation is never paid for, we delete the contact details and the address within 24 hours: only the amounts remain, and they don’t say who you were. Reservations awaiting a bank transfer are kept until we confirm or cancel them: without your details we couldn’t match the payment or let you know.

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability by writing to info@petlevrieri.it.
Complaints
If you believe the processing of your data breaches the Regulation you can contact a supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
